Have you been hacked?

Version two of “Pwned Passwords” has just been released and it’s a really useful tool.

It has a list of over 500 million passwords from a range of different data breaches. You can check your password against it if your password has been breached/hacked in the past it is advisable to change it.

The wider Pwned site allows anyone to see if their domain, email, passwords have been compromised. These guys essentially collect and become a central hub of all breaches allowing you to see if your details have been hacked to date.

With so many large organisations trying to cover up data hacks, such as Yahoo, Linkedin and Uber to name but a few. Its worth understanding if any of your existing details may have been caught up in other company hacks. Because if it has, it doesn't take much to try and use the very same credentials for all other account types.
